In a significant boost to the growing political movement for the 2027 governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), the Yayi Grassroot Alliance (YGA) has officially secured the endorsement of Hon. Kunle Otun, popularly known as Hon. Kope, as one of its esteemed Patrons.
The official notification was delivered during a strategic visit to Hon. Otun at exactly 5:00 PM on Sunday by a high-powered delegation of YGA. The meeting, which took place in an atmosphere of mutual respect and shared vision, was aimed at formally informing the respected leader of the group’s decision to appoint him as a Patron.
To the delight of the YGA team, Hon. Otun graciously accepted the role, expressing deep appreciation for the trust reposed in him. He assured the group of his full support, pledging to leverage every resource within his reach to promote the ideals and aspirations of the Alliance.
“Count on me as a committed partner in progress. I believe strongly in the vision of YGA and I am convinced that together, we shall make a lasting impact in Ogun State politics,” Hon. Otun declared.
During the meeting, Hon. Otun also delivered encouraging feedback from Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, following YGA’s recent courtesy visit to the lawmaker. According to him, Senator Adeola has developed a special affection for the group, describing YGA as unmatched in coordination, loyalty, and presentation among all groups that have visited him.
“Among all the groups and individuals that have paid him visits, Senator Adeola holds YGA in the highest regard. None comes close to what you represent,” Otun revealed.
In a follow-up to Saturday’s engagement, the Yayi Grassroot Alliance has announced plans to host a larger event in the coming days where Hon. Otun will be officially decorated and inducted as a Patron, in the presence of a broader house of members, stakeholders, and community leaders.
Speaking after the meeting, the State Coordinator of YGA, Prince Adedapo David Oluwadamilare, expressed gratitude to Hon. Otun for his acceptance and encouragement, describing his endorsement as a major milestone in the group’s journey toward political transformation and grassroots mobilization.
“This is a defining moment for us. Hon. Otun’s endorsement validates our mission and energizes our base as we work towards the realization of Senator Adeola’s 2027 Governorship ambition in Ogun State,” Prince Adedapo stated.
