Benue State House of Assembly, Speaker Rt Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh, has stepped down as the speaker of the 10th Assembly.
Dajoh, relinquished his position today Sunday as details surrounding his resignation remain sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
Dajoh became speaker of the 10th Assembly in June 2023 under a very tense situation, recent development has left everyone in awe as to the reason behind his sudden resignation.
Although, recent events in the last two weeks in the state house of assembly suggest a brewing subtle war between a sections of lawmaker who were suspended following allegation of trying to impeached the speaker. With this development the house is expected to convene to elect a new speaker anytime soon.
