—says, YGA has shown leadership in every sphere.

The Yayi Grassroot Alliance (YGA), Ogun State chapter, has decorated Hon. Adekunle Otun, fondly called Kope, as one of its Patrons in recognition of his steadfast loyalty, political consistency, and commitment to grassroots development.
The colourful ceremony, held on Sunday, attracted political leaders, coordinators, party faithful and stakeholders from across the state, reaffirming the rising influence of the Alliance as a formidable political structure under the leadership of its Grand Patron, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.

In his welcome remarks, the State Coordinator of YGA, Prince Adedapo David Oluwadamilare, described the decoration as “a milestone in the journey of the Alliance,” noting that YGA has grown into a statewide movement with strong presence in every local government, ward, and polling unit of Ogun State.
He highlighted some of the achievements of the group, including voter mobilization for PVC collection, grassroots sensitization, and self-sponsored monthly meetings and welfare packages. He stressed that the inclusion of credible leaders like Hon. Otun as Patrons would further fortify the structure ahead of future elections.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Otun expressed gratitude to YGA for the honour, pledging total commitment to Senator Yayi’s political cause. He commended the Alliance for its blend of politicians and professionals, which he described as a model of political organisation that has shown leadership in every sphere.
“Senator Yayi is a man of integrity who sees political positions as an avenue to bless others in diverse ways. He remains my leader at all times, and I will continue to stand by him in every political contest,” Otun said.

He assured the group of his unflinching support, promising that YGA members would enjoy due recognition and placement before, during and after the elections.
Earlier, Comrade Abiodun Olumide hailed Hon. Otun as a principled politician who has remained unshaken in his loyalty to the party despite electoral setbacks. He praised his courage and truthfulness, describing him as a role model for younger politicians.
The highlight of the event was the formal decoration of Hon. Otun as Patron of YGA, followed by the presentation of a symbolic gift to him by the Alliance.
