In a statement released earlier today, Hon. Kenny Bello described Ramadan as a sacred period of deep reflection, self-discipline, and renewed devotion to Almighty Allah.
He noted that the season serves as a powerful reminder of the values of sacrifice, humility, compassion, and generosity toward others, especially the less privileged in society.
He urged the Muslim faithfuls not to lose sight of the core teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), which emphasized love, tolerance, charity, and peaceful coexistence.
According to him, these timeless teachings remain essential in building a harmonious and progressive society.
