— Members Reaffirm Unflinching Support for Senator Solomon Adeola’s 2027 Guber Bid
The Ijebu Ode chapter of the Yayi Grassroot Alliance (YGA) on Saturday, 31st May 2025, convened its monthly meeting with a renewed commitment towards grassroots mobilization and strategic engagement in support of the 2027 governorship aspiration of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, fondly known as Yayi.
The well-attended meeting, held at a central venue in Ijebu Ode, attracted key political mobilizers, party loyalists, and community influencers across the local government. The agenda of the meeting centered on enhancing the Alliance’s operational strength across all wards, intensifying voter education, and consolidating its alignment with the vision of progressive and inclusive governance as championed by Senator Adeola.
Addressing the gathering, the State Coordinator of YGA, ably represented by Comrade Odusote Abiodun, lauded the Ijebu Ode chapter for its vibrancy and unwavering dedication. He commended the Local Coordinator, Mr. Imam Abiodun, for rallying individuals of high political calibre and proven grassroots influence, describing them as “men and women of timber and calibre whose political dexterity is beyond question.”
Comrade Odusote further assured the members of YGA that their sacrifices and consistent commitment would not go unrewarded, stressing that the movement stands as a formidable force in the actualization of Senator Yayi’s governorship ambition.
In a communique issued at the end of the meeting, members resolved to upscale their outreach efforts, sustain continuous political education across communities, and maintain internal cohesion among stakeholders. The Alliance also pledged to uphold its guiding principles of loyalty, service, and unity, which it believes are key to securing victory come 2027.
Speaking to a journalist after the meeting, Mr. Imam Abiodun reiterated the chapter’s unflinching loyalty to Senator Adeola, citing his enviable track record in development, youth empowerment, and responsive representation both at the state and national levels. “Our support for Senator Yayi is not transactional; it is transformational. We have seen what he has done and we are convinced of what he can do for Ogun State as governor,” he stated.
The Yayi Grassroot Alliance, since inception, has continued to galvanize support across Ogun State, serving as a robust platform for political sensitization and mobilization, particularly at the community level. With chapters in all zones of the state, the Alliance remains one of the most formidable structures driving the 2027 project.
